ONES is the acronym of the Ontario Network on Ecosystem Services.

Mission Statement

ONES will help to advance research and the exchange of knowledge and information related to ecosystem services in Ontario with the goals of: (i) influencing policies and programs; and (ii) to encourage the increased awareness and provision of these services for the benefits to society.

Purpose

The Ontario Network on Ecosystem Services will fulfill its mission by:

1. Providing a platform for people and organizations interested in ecosystem services to work collectively towards achieving the mission;
2. Facilitating the exchange of knowledge and information related to ecosystem services;
3. Raising awareness about ecosystem services and their benefits to society; and
4. Identifying and acting upon needs and opportunities related to the mission of the network.

Workplan and budget

A workplan and budget are being developed to plan specific activities that are expected to result in outcomes that will support our mission.
